Before we get started let's review the Obama ground rules first

At some fundraiser yesterday in Jacksonville Florida our political messiah said:

"We know what kind of campaign they're going to run. They're going to try to make you afraid. They're going to try to make you afraid of me. He's young and inexperienced and he's got a funny name. And did I mention he's black? He's got a feisty wife."

"and did I mention he's black?" well no you just did but now that you mention it I don't care if somebody's green or polka-dot or any shade in between, one term in the Senate does scare the living daylights out of me. Obama is not new, he's same old same old, change we can believe in would be throwing out the race card. And you already see all those political prognosticators and pollsters breaking us all down into racial camps and ethnic voting blocks, "whites won't go for that guy." Well yes many of them would if he were a black conservative, say if Thomas Sowell threw his hat into the ring, hell throw in Armstrong Williams as his vp (hey, now there's a thought). Oy vey, somebody please pass me that bowl of Prozac!

  1. We'll be needing Prozac by the pound come Jan. 2009.

  2. You know it's ironic, Obama's comments, since it might get whites to be more against him. It's like he still has that Rev. Wright tinge to him whereas he was supposed to be above all this. He seems to want the White House without going through the normal rigors of a campaign, resents any real criticism, like he can't handle himself in this playground we call politics ("wahhh, he just kicked sand in my face").

  3. I didn't hear him complain everytime he got 90% of the black vote during the primary! I bet we would NEVER hear the end of him if the whites voted 90% against him! He is just a big windbag. He is a smooth talker. Beyond that "he's got nuttin!"

  4. I know alot of whites, especially young people, who are going to vote for him. Now nobody has said this quite yet but if you stretch these comments to their logical conclusion you reach the formula if you're white and don't vote for him you're a racist. He has the charisma but as you say beyond that "he's got nuttin." Now Reagan had both charisma AND substance but I guess those days are gone.

  5. Obama has got something alright, an extremely liberal answer to every question!

The young people want change, I guess they have a problem with following the Constitution and want something else.

  6. Just read an article the other day about how old some of the Supremes are like John Paul Stevens and Ruth Bader Ginsburg and so imagine some Obama justices up there especially at this cusp of possibly overturning Roe. It'll be like conservatism and properly following the Constitution was almost. It would be like a mirage of water in the desert to a thirsty nomad.

  7. Well thank God at least they upheld the 2nd amendment, but it's scary that it even came up to the court.

  8. & your typical 5 to 4 decision which means nothing is ever truly settled. 2nd Amendment is safe...for now.

  9. I was surprised that the Supreme Court actually decided the way they did, afterall I thought they might not want only the unborn to be defenseless.

  10. Nice syndicated column today by Rich Lowry and in his opinion Anthony Kennedy is the worst Supreme going, neither solidly liberal nor conservative it seems he just goes with his feelings in rendering important decisions, waxes poetic at times. In that Casey vs. Planned Parenthood decision in '92 that upheld Roe he went off on tangents about the Meaning of the Universe & Life and you're like what's he talking about? just render decisions based on a proper understanding of the Law already!
