I'm more an observer at this point

I don't want any President to fail.  We've had presidents in the past whom I never voted for but I still wanted them to do good things.  Trump however doesn't seem to be on a track to do too many good things.  He doesn't always get his facts straight either.  Everyone can get their facts wrong once in a while but with him it's all the time.  It's like he has his own version of reality.  It'd be nice if he rights his course over the remainder of his term and becomes semi-normal at least but doesn't seem likely.  At best it's the kind of Administration you endure although there's still a hell of a lot of stalwarts out there.

  1. Z-man... interesting admission. I mostly agree with you because I see Trump's proclivity to go off the rails as damaging to some of the things he's trying to do.

You said in your earlier post that not everything is binary and I agree. Like Jesse Jackson, I believe, as Trump does, that Europe should be paying more for their own security. Yes, we can help, but that crowd needs to step up. We rebuilt them after WWII, to theirs and our betterment.

But we can't be the biggest investor in the safety of Europe.

How he dealt with North Korea is another example. While he was ultimately unsuccessful, he tried something different. The same old same old status quo options weren't working, so why not try something out of the box?

But he's sabotaging real policy objectives with his playing TV host and publicly attacking other leaders. And that's before we get to his obvious multiple mistakes, obfuscations of reality or lies.

Yes... some normalcy would be welcomed.
