In just the span of a few short weeks my rock-ribbed all-American conservative friend has gone from anyone who is anti-Trump is drinking the Kool-Aid to Trump's a weird guy. MAGA not so much a base anymore but a remnant. The tariffs - unless it's my imagination the cost of my online shopping has shot up overnight. Venezuela - not a source of major drug traffic like Colombia and Mexico more a grab for oil. Trump's Birthday - maybe a national holiday? The ICE shitshow continues to rampage across the land. Putin/Zelensky- Trump the Great Appeaser. Foreign policy - Israel First. The MRI - what's that all about? Whimsical pardons. The SCOTUS poised to expand his kingly powers. Who's the court jester in this Administration?

You mentioned in another post Trump pardoning that ex-Honduran president narco-trafficker on the basis that Biden lied and framed him. Biden never had the wherewithal to frame anybody. Half the time he probably didn't know what day it was.

Z-Man... I have to admit, I'm pretty amazed. For awhile there it looked like Trump really did have some insight into the pulse of America. But when you promise the moon, you better deliver.

Prices are up, everywhere. Our prestige in the world is crumbling as we seem to have forgot that Europe is our friend and Russia our enemy. Add in our love jones for Israel and the way we've treated our closest geographical neighbors and we've got a go it alone mess.
I'm not sure how the GOP spins their support of Trump, including his pardons of the J6 crowd and the biggest drug smuggler we've ever caught, in the next election.
If I were a campaign guy for the GOP, I'd refuse ANY reelection offers and focus on newbies.
Rumors that Kriste Noem is on 'thin ice'. Seems Stephen Miller, the snake in Trump's ear, thinks she isn't moving fast enough on building concentration camps. Miller- a disgrace to the species.

I'd take Rubio over Vance any day. When he was a Senator he tried to push through comprehensive immigration reform, a moderate rational approach which went nowhere of course. Instrumental with the Visas. As time went on and especially when Trump tapped him he had to adopt a harder line. Tough on China. There are worse people.
