In the interests of fighting terror we have to know the size of your penis

Why doesn't Janet Napolitano step through the thing? 'tis the creepy season. Whatcha got up your bunghole buddy?? Anything is theoretically possible of course but I don't think a bladder cancer survivor with a urine bag is gonna blow up a plane. The TSA says 90% of passengers are behind the patdowns and full body scans, that's an awfully high % for any poll don'tcha think? OMG is that Ron Jeremy?!?

  2. A willing majority always seems willing to give up their rights.

B I get your point but pc is entering the picture here. Of course if you grab a Muslim's balls you're in deep doodoo.

  3. Personally I think that if people want security then they should be willing to go through some inconvenience to get it.

You can't have the proverbial cake and eat it too. Every time there's a scare or an incident they're saying Obama isn't doing enough for security.. so let them tolerate what needs to be done.

  4. It's the old conundrum..
    Ben Franklin-
"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
(which is also inscribed on the base of the statue of liberty.
IMO, whether $55.1 billion a year is a cost
    effective homeland security
budget is debatable and surely whatever portion of that goes to patting down
ol grannies and tykes could be better spent elsewhere.

  5. Grannies and tykes are inconspicuous, and don't they get used often to do illegal stuff like the woman who was smuggling drugs in the baby's stroller and in the baby's diaper, and you hear routinely of grandmas running drug rings..
..the use of children and old folk is not unknown in these situations.

I still say if people want security let them put up with what it takes.

  6. Hey! Off topic but food-related: I got a hookup for raw milk ("for animal consumption only") and I'm rocking the dairy... making yogurt right now and cheese tomorrow and about 50 million types of milk/cream soups.. I ran a little of it in the blender for my yogurt mix and I think I got some butter. :) I've never had raw milk.. I hear it's very different. I'll let you know.

  7. BB: Thanks for posting Franklin's quote, it's one of my favorites.

I suppose I'm in the minority with these "scans" and "pat downs"...I don't agree with them, just as I didn't agree with the PATRIOT Act.

I don't think feeling up Granny and little Johnny is making us any safer. And giving up our liberties in bits and pieces all in the "name of security" isn't going to change my mind. It's just going to lead to a huge chunk of liberty/freedom being gone eventually.

  8. That's 90% of those who Bought Tickets. Nothing was Mentioned about those who Decided to Drive or Take a Train instead.

I Agree with you Pamela, yet here's another Thought. Why not Offer High Security and Low Security Terminals and Give the Passengers a Choice?

I think you mean dang CIAeda patsies.

  10. I agree with Pam. For me this whole thing has a false feel to it.

  14. I find in the fine art of debating you have to be one step ahead of your opponent and anticipate his or her next move. So it will be said al-Qaeda will recruit some sorry nun who regrets her life and will strap a bomb on her...or they'll use kids or Santa Claus or the zit-faced kid at Taco Bell. Just sayin':)

  15. Unfortunately, sometimes they do Use Kids and such, Z. It Horrible and yet that is what they do. They have Done such during the War.

  16. There are rationalizations for everything List.

  17. Yes, and rather or not something is a Rationalization or a Valid Reason is what is at the Very Core of Most Debates. The Key in Relation to this Debate is whether or not there is another way and there have been Other Suggestions that would be more Reasonable then what they are doing.

By the Way, Z, you have Deleted some of your Posts. This seems a little Odd to me, but Whatever.

  18. I do that from time to time, probably more than most bloggers. Various reasons all part of creative license. I'm actually surprised people don't do it more.

  19. When you Delete Posts, you Delete Entire Conversations and then I have Trouble Remembering what was Said. Oh well.

  20. I understand that. That whole subjectivism in the law thing wasn't going anywhere but someday I may revisit the topic. Things are always cached for a time so who knows.

  21. When you Revisit the Subject, you may have to be More Specific. Speaking in Generalities doesn't always Accomplish much. To Really Evaluate the Law Honestly, we would have to Know a Little Something about the Law.

  22. Creative people are always deleting their own stuff and so it goes:)
