Homan bankrupting small farmers in CA through the ongoing ICE raids. The majority of the field workforce gone in many cases. The migrant farm workers have either been arrested or are afraid to report to work. Skilled laborers. Fruit rotting on the vines. You I'll be paying more for produce in the near future. Agriculture Sec'y promises automation and putting Medicaid workers to work in the fields or something like that it's confusing. As ICE is obviously afraid to go after the criminal aliens we might soon be left with some sort of imbalance. After Homan's work is finally done they might be the only ones left after all the hard-working law-abiding ones have been deported. Hannity and Charlie Kirk will be able to afford a bag of cherries. You won't.
Welcome to Trump's dystopia.
Many Latinos in agriculture, construction and hospitality. In a few months they will have to be replaced - by ICE men.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great time to slap a 17% tariff on tomatoes from Mexico. To protect the US tomato crop - which will hang rotting. No more salsa, pizza or salad. What's a chef to do?
ReplyDeleteYou'd think the trinket salesman would be offering a gold-bound Trump Cookbook by now reflecting such changes.
ReplyDeleteHoman the hotel administrator - lol.
ReplyDeleteA great night's sleep with complementary breakfast in El Salvador?
DeleteTrump now suing media outlets that report accurately. When will we get a mature adult, left right or middle in the WH again?
ReplyDeleteI have issues with ice wearing face masks, not having id, no warrants, no actual charges besides being brown. Now we are shipping people to Africa and he is threatening to deport actual citizens. Tearing apart the Constitution one amendment at a time. It is now morally necessary to resist. Have you missed me?
ReplyDeleteHell yes. Your voice is sorely missed. Welcome back.
DeleteHow's the Feral Community handling the Summer heat?
ReplyDeleteThey always manage to find a cool spot. I got ice water on the patio.
DeleteI complain a lot, but am not much an an activist. However, I felt compelled to inform my Senator -
ReplyDelete"PBS - Am dismayed by cutting funding of this important public service. Since my truck radio stays on that dial (classical music) and things like the 'Doc Martin BBC and nature shows are favorites. Yes, I do donate to them - it is that important. Whatever 'savings' excuse, the fed budget is wasted on any number of more frivolous programs"
Any idea of where they will send me?
I want my Bob Ross. He takes the edge off a rough day. The way he scrapes the canvas and talks it's like CB.
DeleteA thought: this "chronic venous insufficiency" is as any nurse can tell you is looking more like a case of congestive heart failure. I volunteer to cook for him one day (all I will need) Breakfast 3 eggs, buttered grits, biscuits with thick sausage gravy and thick sliced bacon. Lunch, big mac extra pickles, super size fries, large coke. Afternoon snack two hot dogs with extra relish or a dozen oysters on the half shell iced. Dinner ham steak, collards cooked with bacon, macaroni and cheese with extra velveeta. Dessert super size ice cream sundae with crushed salted peanuts and whipped cream.
ReplyDeleteIV diuretics denied by insurance. How you like that menu? I love to cook.
He seems to walk and play golf ok. He talks out of his ass ok. Medical conditions I never heard of. I used to have WebMD to try to keep up to date. My friend ate sushi once downed with chocolate milk. I'd wind up in the ER. My sister worked in a supermarket deli once. Old guy came in and asked for the tuna in the showcase. My sister goes oh you don't want that it's over 5 days old, He said that's ok it's for my wife.
ReplyDeleteHad swollen ankles myself a couple years back. Hydrochlorothyazide
ReplyDelete(Which Saty knows as HRC) took care of that. Unlike the orange tubby, my appetite is much lower- went from 215 down to 172lbs in the last three years. After reading Saty's meal plan, I got deja vu all over again.
