Maybe UPS lost her package and denied her claim

'Tis the holiday season.  NY AG Letitia James files suit against UPS.  It is what it is.

Merry Christmas.

  1. skechers arrived yesterday. don't fit and too heavy. Gonna return them and go to Famous Foot Wear over at the Mall where I got the ones I really like. My wife is always buying stuff on the net and returning it.
    Buy local!

  2. The Leritia James suit against UPS. I think Einstein had it wrong. I'm beginning to think the law of the universe is everything is corrupt.

Bought some nice Shein turtlenecks some time back. Most fit fine a couple a little tight. So cheap to order I put the tight ones in one of those clothing and shoe bins.

  3. We bloggers blog about different stuff. I'm not up to speed on a lot of things. I didn't know there's a problem with Muslim rapists in Germany for example.

  4. According to a 'source', it is a profession over there. The Epsteinization of der Faderland?

    1. Rampant apparently according to the same source. Roving gangs of Muslim rapists. Trump's Rob Reiner comments - eh.

  5. Went down to mall, tried 10 different Skechers and bought a pair for
$20 less that the mail order. Gonna see if Famous Footwear will return them for me. Buy local!

  6. Preferable to SHEIN ripping you off over $400. They promised to get back to me in 3 business days and it's been going past 5. They don't seem to mind all the negative web reviews either. Painful.

  7. One part of the Letitia James/UPS article caught my attention and don't know if it's relevant to my case. "The company allegedly delayed clock-ins until packages were scanned or delivered.". Basically talking about the seasonal holiday workers they hire. That being the case how accurate is their scanning and delivery info anyway? Support drivers want to get paid ya know.

  8. She is NY Attorney General, got considerable clout. "Let me introduce
a man from Yonkers, who has far more success with feral cats than UPS, where the sun don't SHEIN"

  9. Just sent in my last installment this year for the Yonkers Property Tax. Watch how fast that check clears! Like being financially raped.

  10. UPS - Unprofessional Parcel Service.

  11. Scechers - complicated return on computer. Gave up. Visiting daughter called them, talked to a Maria and they emailed me a return slip to put on the return package and take over to UPS. Sort of ganged up on them. Guys came and fixed old broken split cedar fence - they found some old split cedar posts and rails, spent about about two hours and even replaced the Christmas lights on them.
Wife delighted. Next break in the weather and they will patch the roof damage. Neighbor came and picked up all the trash that had blown in from the other neighbor. Small town nice.

  12. To assist the investigation. What would I tell UPS? I was off work that day smoking my pipe. I didn't see the packages and looked around the neighborhood. The bulk of the investigation is on them. They have to trace the packages if it's not too much trouble. Do they even talk to the driver who had that route? As for Shein a little research shows they're a multi-billion global company. They can't reimburse a few customers or send replacements?

I suppose I should be more concerned with all the Muslim rapists in Germany. More important stuff like renaming the Kennedy Center.

  13. So far I've never returned anything from online shopping. Shein recently sent me wrong size patio cushions (before this current debacle) but they're nice and I found uses for them. I have idiosyncratic somewhat misshapen feet. I could never buy footwear online. Do they talk about this stuff over at GeeeZ? Does bocopro have any insights?

  14. I see Cardinal Dolan retired. Gonna be on the Yonkers Yard Committee? Homan a speaker at Turning Point - the Christian
Trump place. Blessed are the meek, for they shall be deported.

  15. Given your unusual Winter weather, you might stop looking for Sasquatch and see if there are any Yeti around.

  16. For those few remaining on the Trump Train the Rob Reiner comments should be enough. Laura Loomer is defending Trump. NewsMax 2 I can't watch anymore. Jacques Pepin is 90. Older episode where he's cutting up an octopus. Would rather watch him.

  17. My Field Guide to the Mammals has yet to recognize the S'quatch.

    ReplyDelete
  18. No Sasquatch, huh? Too bad. With your penchant with feral cats, you would have a Bigfoot hanging around the back porch too. Probably have to get him neutered or he would chase off after MTG.

  19. Sensitive subject for some. My friend's a true believer. He treats every story like it's an established fact.

  20. Grocery bill yesterday. Not much just some stuff for Xmas. $130? When did Stouffer's frozen lasagna shoot up in price? Must be my imagination. Prices are lower than ever.

  21. The UPS Claims process. So at the time of the alleged delivery I was around the front porch area so unless an agile midget took it while my back was turned so I'm thinking they'd interview the driver maybe check the neighboring town with the same street name, 2 or 3 days would go by and they'd find my package. No harm no foul and we'd all have a good laugh. I guess I don't know how these things work. What would Homan do?

  22. Has it always been like this, or did it start when Trump got elected?

  23. I honest to God call me paranoid but,

There is something dysfunctional going on. Trump - UPS?

I like one of my Mom's old insights and it makes sense. This covers all professions and so she said she thinks many people are in the wrong jobs. Then there is the Peter Principle - Everyone rises to the level of their own incompetence. BUT I think things are worse under Trump and I can't put my finger on it.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Did you get your blacked-out version of the Epstein Files yet?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Peter Principle - been around since the cavemen. I turned down a couple of promotions because of that, plus preferring lab management to plant management. People in the wrong jobs - Homan, Bondi, RFKJr., Trump, Musk, Hegseth and the guy at White Castle that is allergic to hamburger?

  26. Thing with UPS is there doesn't seem to be any asking you for feedback. You go to the doctor and couple months later might get a survey in the mail how was your experience with Dr. Fink? You go to the bank and you get an email did the teller greet you etc. Seems everything you do these days they want your feedback EXCEPT UPS. No queries for me how was your claims experience? I like it too when they send you the email closing your claim in big letters it says "please do not respond to this email." Ok.

  27. The Peter Principle. I hope to never meet a colonoscopist who shouldn't be a colonoscopist.

  28. But yes I don't know why but things seem worse under Trump. Tariff fatigue? Meanwhile my new pipe the tenon seems to have gotten stuck in the mortise. One thing I WON'T do is order a new one from Shein.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Don't know about tenons. I've had a couple stems that got stuck and twisted them off with pliers. Sanded them down and polished with very fine sandpaper. Put on a dab of Vaseline and they work fine..

    ReplyDelete
  30. Too much pipe lingo on Google. One method they say put it in the freezer so the wood contracts then pull it out with pliers so I got it out. I think you're talking about the same thing but the last part of the stem they use the other term.

    ReplyDelete
  31. So the polymer thing is a stem with a bit on one end and a tenon on the other? Out for Mexican last night and this old guy comes over from the bar. Says "You remember me? "Uh, no." "Mark, Mark V__ from the Ammo plant." Been 25 years and he had been the head of engineering. Then my memory came back, "Remember that time we soaked an envelope in concentrated Lavender perfume to put in the raw smelling metal draw lube" "We addressed it to one of the engineers, said it came from Paris - A Fifi who still wanted $85" " The whole mail room smelled like a flower garden. Mark's mother worked for me as a lab tech in the 80s and he said she said BB was the best boss she ever had and if he wasn't a chemist, he should have done stand-up, Gotta eat out more.

  32. Sent in my last installment of the Yonkers Property Tax as I said. Date on Check 12/18. Just checked my bank account. Cleared on 12/22. That's 4 days. What did they grab it out of the mailbox?

  33. Wondering how often Homan goes out for Mexican. Eats his meal then arrests the kitchen.

  34. ConEd energy bill just came to my email. Little over $400. Says Pay Immediately. Can I finish on the toilet first? Things are sure different under Trump.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Sounds like ConEd is run by cons.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Gravelly thug voice: "You pay up or we turn your lights off."

Ordered a great variety of products from Shein in the past. Never had a problem until they started using UPS. I don't care if a station wagon comes.
