More murkiness. Trial going on across the pond of one Russell Brand of whom you may have heard. Six women have come forward accusing him of all forms and manner of rape. However we're talking about allegations that are being made 25 or even 30 years after the fact as there is no statute of limitations in the UK the way we have here. Also in Britain you don't need absolute unanimity to criminally convict someone. 10 out of 12 jurors will suffice. Britain's legal system far inferior to ours as we go out of our way to be fair to defendants over here as it's their life we're talking about. It has also been widely said the judge in the Brand case at one point explicitly took the side of one of the victims. Wouldn't happen over here just sayin'. Apparently these women only came forward after some TV documentary aired over there. Trauma takes time but that's taking it to another level. We have more of a structure to our legal system even if it ain't perfect.
Brand was what you'd call a male nympho but has since made a rightward turn and publicly turned to God. Back in the day we're not talking about classical stylized sex. Anywhere anytime would do. Mop room whatever. The late Limbaugh once made a point with which I tend to agree. He said if your whole life revolves around sex you're going to wind up in trouble someday and I paraphrase. Once in a while I agreed with the man. By Brand's own admission his sex life was what you'd call unsavory and I would add if you're in a perpetual state of horniness as Brand was you're practically inviting murkiness into your own life hence the court case least as I see it.
Of course we'll probably be talking about TRUMP in no time. What else is there?
