The Dems will sweep the House because the Republicans didn't have the balls to remove the Asshole-In-Chief (hereinafter the AIC) and pretty much soon the Dems like maybe after lunch on the second day will present the official Articles of Impeachment. Even if the Dems also pick up the Senate most likely there won't be enough votes to convict so Trump will have been impeached three times in his two terms in office. The GeeeZ crowd will of course get their knickers in a twist. So then the surreal presidency continues on for two more years and I get a flood of anti-Trump stuff in my YouTube feed with the Young Turks chiming in. Won't mean anything. May as well watch toilet videos on This Old House.
Trump's diesel deal with Putin. The Starlink slowdown. Whose side is Trump on? Imagine if we had made business dealings with Hitler during WW2.
Can't make this shit up.
Most likely scenario? First of all, watch the Nevada gubernatorial race. Nevada has a history of electing moderate GOP Governors. And the current guy, Joe, not Guy, Lombardo, is the latest. He's up for reelection, against the state AG Aaron Ford.
ReplyDeleteIf Nevada whacks Lombardo, sorta, maybe, a little MAGA, but a decent guy and former LV Sheriff, it'll mean a blue tsunami.
The Dems are taking the House. If they take the Senate, look for about 500 pardons for everyone up to and including the janitors in the White House.
But here's the big deal... There really will be no check on Trump in any conventional sense. Because they can just stonewall, as they did during Trump 1, and what can the Dems do?
Trump and the Admin can defy subpoenas, refuse to testify, and continue government by executive order and because of the SCOTUS immunity ruling, we're, along with the Dems, screwed.
No matter what happens next Tuesday.
BTW guys... I'm in Oaxaca, Mexico right now. Next Tuesday I'm heading to a friend's mezcal distillery to pass the day, while we all all, Mexicans included, bemoan Trump.
