The media are in denial about their own relevance anymore

They couldn't even influence the election.  They relied heavily on the fake polling industry to show a neck and neck race to motivate people to vote for Harris but Rasmussen were the only ones predicting a Trump landslide and if you notice they never quoted the Rasmussen numbers.  The American voters have spoken.  The media doesn't respect landslides or the will of the people.  You can give The New York Times and The Washington Post to people for free and many are not gonna read it.  Good for lining a birdcage or wrapping fish.  Now Trump's Cabinet picks are no good.  Expect four more years of a negative drumbeat from the msm.  Meanwhile the rest of us have moved on.

  2. We have aways to go before the Inauguration. Cabinet hasn't been installed yet. I'm guessing you want taxes, gas and food to stay up so you have something to complain about.

    1. No, I'd like to see them go down. But I don't think they will.

  3. Trump could hire a maid or a gardener at this point and it'd be controversial.

    1. One observer said his choices were unorthodox. Idaho farms are worried about their Latino labor. If 20 million are sent back, who will the find to work 12 hours a day, six days a week outside at $16/hr? That is 73% of the agricultural workers in the country. Doubtful they could be replaced and the whole food chain would be diminished with one effect being the price of food. Hopefully Elon Musk has the answer.

    2. The Marco Rubio choice is a signal the mass deportations won't happen.

    4. Can nice, but old Susan Wiles COS, handle that staff smoothly?

    5. Some googling. About 1.5 million illegals were deported under Biden and 3 million under Obama. Maybe Trump still has to play to his base to get his nominees confirmed. Despite Rubio's shape-shifting on the issue he was instrumental in getting Venezuelans 18 month temporary worker status etc......bottom line Trump understands the economic impact in Agriculture. I'm not talking out of my ass.

    6. Your are right. Trump paid out $65 billion to farmers last time around. $65 Billion of taxpayer money. it worked - the rest of the world raised theirs, which still affects the cost of food. Economics - the dismal science.

    7. I have to follow a budget. Government just keeps printing money. Really doesn't matter who's president.

  4. Now the whole vaccine autism thing. I came across a conspiracy theory once that corporations have done something to the environment that causes autism. The theory goes corporations themselves have come up with the idea that vaccines cause autism to distract from a possible corporate cause. Might be up Junior's alley.

  5. It seems they have figured out the brain pathway chemicals involved and other odd theories blame automobile exhaust and genetics. BUT
    here's the thing
    https://knowridge.com/2021/01/cats-may-help-decrease-anxiety-for-kids-with-autism/
(copy and paste into your search engine) They found that cats for
autistic youngsters were a great help. i didn't cats were that patient.

  8. I'm willing to listen. You said once I don't like doctors. My thing is you see them with a problem and they don't help you. High BP we got that covered a noise in the head we can't figure out.

  9. Wonder if anyone has ever been cured of it?

  10. Overslept this AM, didn't get up til 6. While trying to get caught up on blogs, I forgot to move the bins out of the driveway and onto the edge of the street. The recycling guy passed right by and I had to move two weeks of recycling back up to the kitchen deck and wait another two weeks. The guys came at 7:03, very efficient. How do you cope with the Yonkers system?

  11. Yonkers they generally swing by pretty early around 6AM 6:30 latest. Sometimes they're in a hurry and go right past your bin. I have the most recycling in the neighborhood because of the cats.

  12. Dr. Oz is quite interesting - he began as a brilliant heart surgeon, showed up on Oprah Winfrey's show. He was so interesting she bankrolled him for his own show. He pushed hydroxy chloroquine as a Covid med (and invested in two companies that made it) and counseled Trump along with Brix and Fauci. Never know - the grouch
anal neighbor guy showed up and raked all the leaves in my yard,
bagged them and went home - about 600 gallons of leaves. Wife said, "Gee, that's really nice" he growled back "Hate leaves they blow over into my yard, then up my driveway and pile up on my pickup and jet boat" She said "Thank you" He said "Oh, it was nothing."
    Go figure.

  13. Dr. Oz and Dr. Phil are spawns from Oprah. Has a mythological kind of vibe.

  14. Scuttlebutt is that Trump likes to appoint people that are successful on TV. Probably not J. Scarborough. But maybe Hulk Hogan in charge of Army Basic Training? "Drop and gimmee 10, scumbag"

  15. Gotta keep reminding myself Scarborough is a Republican or used to be.

  16. Yep. The inverse of Tulsi Gabard. Can you imagine flip-flopping sides.
Me, maybe if I had a disabling stroke or a couple $$ million from Elon
    Musk.

  17. Well Joe's show might be on the chopping block so...I hear Ellen DeGeneres has left the country.

  18. Ellen DeGeneres was funny when she first started. I watched Bill Maher and Neal DeGrasse Tyson last night. The universe discussed and a lot of F-bombs

  19. Kind of wondering - my middle girl has been a 'Big Sister' to a Latino girl. Her parents are illegals, been here for 20 years, Mom runs a wedding business, Dad works at a garage door place. When they are kicked back to Guatemala and Puerto Rico, what happens to the little girl, that is now in college. Who cares, I guess?

  20. Is Trump going to do that?

  21. Curious. Scarborough said that was one of the topics he and Trump discussed at Mar-A-Lago. Wonder what was said.

  22. "Please don't send be back to Florida" ?

  23. Did Scarborough get out of Mara Lago unscathed? Is that the new
US Capital? Why? Can't keep up with Trump follies, keep me up to date.
