All three believe our legal and justice system has been compromised, that they or in Biden's case his son have been the victims of political prosecutions. Watched a recent Jimmy Dore podcast in which he talked about the media and Hunter Biden. I'm taking an idea from there and expanding on it here.
Trump of course has had his myriad legal problems. There was the hush money case in Manhattan and the Jack Smith legal bundle since dismissed. Hunter recently convicted of federal gun charges since pardoned by his father. Read the WH statement about selective prosecution. Then there is the complex case of NYC Mayor Eric Adams to go on trial next April. Charges include bribery, corruption, wire fraud and donations from foreign nationals notably the Turkish government. Adams too feels it's all a political witch hunt. Now on to the main point. Biden and Adams now have a special camaraderie with President-Elect Trump. If you notice Trump and Biden are now BFFs and Adams has pledged all he can to help Trump deport criminal illegal aliens from NYC. The common thread in all this is all three see the justice system as being corrupt.
It's not about the Rule of Law. The legal and justice system is part of the swamp is what all three are saying in their own way. That's the case that Trump, Biden and Adams are making. Selective prosecutions, the weaponization of our justice system. Who else will join the growing list? That's the main thesis for today folks.
What about Diddy?
ReplyDeleteDon't think he'll ever be pardoned but you never know. Assuming he gets convicted. I see I have some Diddy updates on YouTube.
ReplyDeleteWord is Andrew Cuomo wants to become Mayor of NYC. Some people can't just go away.
ReplyDeleteCuomos all over the place back there.
ReplyDeleteNYS Governor Hochul said if any illegals break the law she's gonna be the first one to call ICE. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
ReplyDeleteSo regular lawbreakers get a break?
DeleteAsk her.
DeleteYesterday wife's car wouldn't start. Had to have service come put a battery in. This morning, My truck wouldn't start. Karma?
ReplyDeleteWe used to have a karmic expert around these parts.
ReplyDeleteLast I heard, she converted back to Catholicism. Trading karma for purgatory?
DeleteLike she accepted the whole Catholic package though? Cathechism, Confession, the works? Does she have the Bishops Guide to the Movies?
DeleteHoly Krishna, Batman! Only the dude in the confessional knows. Does the BG to the M cover Last Tango?
DeleteYes. The Bishops gave it a big fat (O) for morally offensive. Say you're a fan of the Brando craft and filmography they're saying don't even watch it. I'm a grown adult. Stick with the 2nd Collection to Honduras.
DeleteI presume you copy of the Bishops Guide is well worn in the
Deleteseriously banned chapter?
Haven't looked at it in years. Hard to picture a bunch of bishops watching a Bruce Lee movie.
DeleteI was wondering, is NY considered part of New England? Been through that way once, and they seemed a bit different.
ReplyDeleteCT never makes the news much. Who's even the Governor over there?
ReplyDeleteDec 7 Pearl Harbor Day = bunch of old WWII aircraft to fly over the river downtown, Mustangs, Thunderbolts, Mitchell bomber and some flying tigers with the shark teeth on the nose. When I was 3 we went to an open house at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center. Some sailor sat me in the cockpit of a F6F Hellcat carrier fighter. I screamed so loud they had to pull me out before the base went on full alert. Thought it was going to take off. Childhood trauma.
ReplyDeletePipe smoking. The deal is to draw air through the tobacco, right? Sometimes it is a chore, tobacco too tight, stem to skinny inside.
ReplyDeleteSo, in those pipes without a filter chamber, I quite often will ream
the stem with a 3/16" drill bit - push it in and turn slowly clockwise
with a pliers and enlarge the bore. Not sure if Dr. Grabow falls in that category. As I recall, sometimes people run a rod through cigars too?
You should run a pipe blog. I don't see these tips on Google.
ReplyDeleteAnswer comments like "Is it OK to chew snuff and puff on a pipe at the same time?" "No, and never put a smoking pipe in your front pocket"
ReplyDeleteYou've devoted a lot of time and effort into your hobby. Sometimes just simpler to have a stogie though.
ReplyDeleteThey say that tamping in the tobacco and lighting up is part of the allure. Back in the day there were coupons in the can and you could order great pipes at low cost. Had one that was filigreed with sterling sliver designs - smoked good. Puffing away in the canoe as we slid down the fast narrow rapids on the fight (just below Bridge Creek landing) Low willow hanging over the bank, slapped me in the face and the pipe went to the bottom. Probably still there, glittering
ReplyDeleteand entertaining small mouth bass.
Some kid probably got it.
ReplyDeleteDr. Grabow - pipes for the poor man.
They are pretty good. If I got one, I'd go half-bent with the thickest bowl. Thick bowl absorbs heat, smokes cooler.
DeleteNot that I would hook up with a hookah like some Bedouin.
Went in a hookah place once. I was lost.
DeleteYonkers has a hookah place? I thought they were all in Damascus or Morocco. Is it true they smoke stuff other than tobacco?
DeleteYes close by. Went in there once for an emergency cigar. Didn't have any. Big hangout with loud music. My sister shops in the area and says there's always a guy outside trying to sell you weed.
ReplyDeleteYour sister should stay home.
DeleteI should stay home.
DeleteYou and you sister make me laugh. Good for you.
ReplyDeleteHow's the family doing by the way?
DeleteDon't agree on everything but doing ok.
