How does Jay Carney do it day in and day out?

I know he used to be a member of the media and probably swings liberal himself but still.  There's been other presidential spokesmen who have quit for reasons known only to them but is he really that into this gig?  I mean Hillary doesn't look like she's having any fun, she looks bored and tired half the time and she's trekking the globe and she's leaving.  It's like at work when you have a bad manager and we've all had them but there's always one who's his right-hand man who gets offended at the slightest critique>>>"oh no no no he knows what he's doing" and the two really dig each other but to everyone else it makes no sense.  The BS Spokesman, a job I could never do.

  1. Remember Ron Ziegler, Nixon's press guy? His upper lip sweated
just like Nixon's and he often resorted to ""This is the operative statement. The others are inoperative.". Call me sexist, but that Dana Perino, who
did Bush's press for awhile, deserved attention...in fact, she
is so well educated and articulate that she ought to quit FoxNews and do real journalism.

  2. I have a message to all you Republican, Conservative, Racist Sore Loser!
I don’t know what all the hate is towards Obama but I think we are in a much better state than if Romney would have won this election. In my personal opinion i think alot of the heat Obama takes is more or less what Bush left for him. Bush was far worse than Obama is and will be and I feel like if you let Obama ride the next four years out you will see many of his plans take effect and then you will be able to see what Obama was really about. And im not much of a politics person at all but was I the only one looking at Romney and seeing the crook he would have been I mean seriously just look at him.

    No wonder why you lost!

Republicans are the biggest threat to America since the Constitution was created! How long must we listen to liars and fraud like you? . It’s obvious you are a hateful racist bigoted scumbag like ALL the other conservatives who couldn't stand that the black man won re-election you resort to nitpicking to defend your racist, hateful views!

  3. Let's start with the basics, shall we? EVERY President, every single last FUCKING one of them is an amateur President when they assume office. There is, literally, NOTHING that prepares you for being President (except maybe being Vice President). No matter how much you snivel, whine, and complain about Obama, it doesn't change that fact.

Having said this much, let us continue: The measure of whether a President is a good President, or a bad one, is how they cope with the situations that occur while they are in office. That being the case we can, and SHOULD, argue that by every (REASONABLE AND NON-PARTISAN) standard Barack Obama is a GOOD President and George W. Bush was a BAD President.

You desperate Righties just continue to keep getting more and more laughable.
suck it up GOP, you lost, you held out with obstructionism, and all out refusal to compromise on anything with the President, biding your time, hoping you would win, well, the election is over, you came out on the short end of the stick, so now that you have no reason to obstruct, come on down, and do some work with the President, maybe if you act like you actually care about the country and not yourselves, you may, just may, have a chance in 2016, or if you want to boo-hoo your way there also, you can whine all you want too, so expect to lose. .

  4. I keep thinking when's it gonna happen? Carney's crisis-of-conscience that is - "I can't do this anymore." His boss, great work on Egypt btw.

  5. I'm not against Obama because he's black but his political fixation on the rich is somewhat weird:)

  6. RE: 'fixation on the rich'..just a form of populism. Go over the data
since the 1970s-productivity way up, corporate profits way up, wages stagnant..rich get richer, poor get poorer..those that still have jobs work harder and harder. If you are big on neofeudalism it should be a thrill. Otherwise the
data vector points to economic and social ..er...disaster.

OK then, let talk about the conservatives favorite topic... “Benghazi”
Those old, angry, old white Republican guys are at it again. They just can't control their worst instincts. They see a black face in a position of importance and they go nuts.
Now they're going after U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice, not because she went on five Sunday news shows and told a fairy tale about why four Americans were killed in Benghazi, but simply because she's a black woman. Oh my God! Black woman named "Rice" for Secretary of State... how can we let that happen!
Earlier in this thread you quoted the phrase "act of terror" as if it came from the last paragraph of the above quoted external text. You did so to make it look as if it was a specific reference to the incident in Benghazi. That phrase is not in that quoted external text! You will, however, find "ACTS OF TERROR". "Acts of terror" is not specific to any particular incident. I'm sure you know that though.
It’s really disgusting how President Obama is being vilified for the death of four Americans in that embassy in Libya . It was a horrible tragedy but it also shows another mental problem with the right, and that is being hypocritical to the bone.
The entire Rose Garden conference was about BENGHAZI. These are FACTS.
Go read the entire thing for yourself, it's a speech about BENGHAZI, not 9/11.
The party of racists, bigots, extremists, homophobes, AND hypocrites scream bloody murder over the fact that FOUR Americans die under a “lie” that President Obama told, but then again these exact same hypocrites didn’t whine, in fact, they didn’t care or mind that hundreds and thousands of Americans died under a lie President Bush told. They didn’t mind that they died for an unjust war or that they died looking for weapons of Mass Delusion.
Remember, I’m talking about a party that are obviously hiding and denying the cold-hearted fact that they hate having a black man as the President of the United States, that they use these taboo words (they have shown time and time again that they don’t know the meaning of those words) in place of what they REALLY want to call him!
No, nobody lied about people dying. Not Hillary Clinton, Not Susan Rice and NOT certainly The President Barack Obama. It is disgusting to see conservatives attack Obama in an attempt to destroy his Presidency. Have they no shame? NO, of course not.
You have to get your facts a bit clearer when you try to get your point across. as a matter of fact, if Romney would have been more articulate with his words in regards to the policies he was going to implement, and how he would improve the economy, perhaps he would have had a chance at the presidency.

Now, on the other hand, one of the greatest lies ever fabricated during any administration was the product of the GOP, and the creation of the Iraq war. WMD's? haha! Bush should have been impeached then and there.
For the past four years, here is a crowd of hateful crybabies who have been definitely the most disrespectful of a sitting President surely in American History (F.Y.I to the extremist right, YES HE IS the President). It's really pathetic how you righties seem to make excuses from every wrong that you make..
You're just one of those desperate individuals that can't even be honest with yourself!
What a freaking joke the right wingers are. These clowns are all blowhards and once again prove that they are more concerned about being the loud drunk in the bar than to actually take care or be considerate of the issue.
Romney lost and looked like a spectacular idiot doing it, and you guys are in damage control

  8. I'm actually an independent conservative, I'm against what they're doing to Susan Rice and opposed the Iraq War from the getgo but have to say speaking objectively here Obama is one of the most divisive and polarizing presidents in history. You know I work with liberals who are for the usual liberal things like hikes in the minimum wage and gay marriage and even they're complaining about Obama and I didn't even bring up the topic. One of their favorite complaints is ObamaCare and its mandates through coercion, not the way to go about it they the liberals I work with say and believe me they think health care is very important but they can think objectively. Many folks at work are very concerned they're gonna get their hours cut because of ObamaCare and they're equally concerned about the fiscal cliff which Obama seems to want to go over. A very divisive president with even liberals against him, how do you explain that???

  9. RE: "A very divisive president with even liberals against him, how do you explain that???"
Simple, really- he is too far left
for the various flavors of cons and to far to the center for the
various flavors of libs. To paraphrase Lincoln, you can make
some of the people happy all of the time, some of the people all of the time but not all of the people all of the time.

  10. The libs I work with, let's say I work in a liberal workplace but they don't like him or seem to care for him. Actually you have it backwards BB, I'd say I work with a bunch of centrist libs and Obama is too far out there for even them.

  11. Centrist Libs? Er..is that like a
    moderate pro-lifer?

  12. Is that supposed to get a rise out of some of us?
