Do conservatives not have a tipping point when it comes to Trump?

They think everything he does is just swell.  Even the erstwhile sensible conservatives are going along for the ride.  For me the whole Gulf of America thing was one tipping point.  Another tipping point is the mass firing of federal workers but that's just me but for most conservatives these days everything Trump says and does is just fine.  Greenland?  Anything?  Things don't seem quite normal in this blogger's humble opinion.

  1. A couple of observations - Trump added significant Dem voters, who will probably peel away - and even his core supporters don't like him personally, but are happy with the chaos. Don't see how it can go on for another four years. (one blogger wrote "It will be hard to make it to the other side, if there is one). I figure his cabinet will be musical chairs while I wait for the POTUS letter telling me to paint over Mexico and put in America on my big old floor globe.

    1. OAN will be the only Trump supporters left. Even the Hulkster will find greener pastures.

  2. Interesting copy and paste-https://www.blogger.com/comment/fullpage/post/1883838569462983439/728445863399879075
I had posted at Geeez on her 'why did the Democrats just sit there? They should have stood and clapped" Noting that the alternatives were groveling, genuflecting or doing a Jan 6 thing. Which irritated
her. Her response showed up in Shaw's (above). Fairly good mileage and cloak and dagger stuff. Gotta feed the cat now.

  3. Well though there was some cancer survivor kid they could have clapped for. You know stuff that should cross party lines. Just saying.

  4. I guess. Then Trump stopped all child cancer research to save money.
    Gonna have it both ways?

    1. He did??? I thought those things were allocated by Congress. No offense but I'd have to fact check that first.

  5. Selective clapping is one thing but they came across as morose.

  6. According to the latest polls, most of us are.

  7. Then why'd they even go?

  8. It's like you get invited to a party and spend all night sulking on the couch. Just saying.

  9. Trump cracking down on pro-Palestinian protesters on college campuses by threatening to withhold federal funding from such colleges and also threatening to deport those international students who take part in those protests HUGE tipping point on why conservatives should no longer support Trump. Instead the sugarcoating continues. Great address to Congress rah rah!

  10. I suppose you're right - a Jan 6 mob would have been the way to go.

  11. No wonder you get banned. You put words in people's mouths. You remind me of Brillo always mildly abrasive. I like what GeeeZ said though for liberals J6 is the gift that keeps on giving. You can't shake yourself of the delusion that Trump somehow was behind J6 even though it had no chance of overturning the election results.

  12. Here I am criticizing Trump on an almost daily basis but somehow you have issues with the way the blogger presents things. You always wake up on the wrong side? Never a search for common ground you're always in battle mode for some reason.

  13. Common ground - I am for the death penalty - cheap and no repeat offenders. I don't trust Russia. I like Brussel sprouts. My vet is better that my own doctor. But logically, just sitting there vs tearing down the capital seems a tame thing to smear. Of course I'm grouchy - the kid that mows my lawn in Summer quit. Since i have trouble keeping up with the mower I need some yard outfit.

  14. My starting point on J6 is not everyone believes Trump commissioned a bunch of assholes to climb the walls of the Capitol Building so that's not a tipping point for me. I'm more focused on the here and now and the tipping points are coming in. Gulf of America, the mass firings, punishing pro-Palestinian speech on campus and I'm sure I could think of a couple of other things. The only conservative I see at the moment having some reservations is Glenn Greenwald. My question when is the honeymoon over?

  15. I don't care how people lean politically but extreme partisanship is a turnoff for me. Sure the Dems didn't have to clap at everything but don't sit there like you have a hemorrhoid either. Sitting there semi-comatose and not even reacting to personal stories of heartbreak or triumph shows poor form.

  16. Sorry to have hassled you. You seem to be working things out on your own. I can shoot flame at Shaw's or play nice at Geeez. I come here for middle of the road, ya know. Also those places have a daily running commentary, which I know is impossible at '"Lost" where you work all day chefifng , take care of Mom and run a feral cat santiorium. Don't mean to bug you. Relax, you're OK

  17. Every venue is different. You calling Trump a psycho at GeeeZ is like wearing a Trump Sucks t-shirt at the RNC. If you want Trump is Satan's love child head on over to Shaw's. Basic saloon fighting with the J. Geil's Band "Centerfold" blasting in the background. Here is a place of political leanings. Nothing hardcore.

  18. What a sad spectacle the Democrats put on at Trump's address. The all looked like little bad children following Al Green aka the Cane-Man who angrily shook his Cane at Trump. The Democrats sat on their hands as Trump introduced that boy and the girls. I'd say they deeply wounded their own party.

Democrats have no vision, no plans or good expectations for America, all they have is TDS. Their false hatred will be their own doom. Maybe there are some Democrats that can revive the party but after this

The display put on by the Democrats during President Trump's speech to Congress was an outrage to the American people on both sides of the political aisle. It showed how the Democrat Party has become so consumed by hatred, they can no longer think rationally. Veteran news host Bill O'Reilly believes the party is on the verge of collapse.
Bill O'Reilly said the Democratic Party is "on the verge of collapse" after the taunting they took from President Donald Trump led to a "myriad of mistakes."
Bill O'Reilly made the comments in an interview on the News on Thursday night.

"President Trump taunted the Democratic Party into making a mountain of mistakes," O'Reilly said referring to the Democrats' lack of decorum during Trump's joint address to Congress on Tuesday night."
I would have to agree with Bill.O'Reilly that President. Trump is moving so fast that the statist left cannot possibly build up a defense before President Trump activates another investigation, EO or deep state bureaucracy mass firing. The lefts hand picked judges are simply launched by pressure from the Trump steamroller administration which leaves the beleaguered lefties lawfare attempts @ the mercy of the Attorney General which is 101% behind President. Trump. The Hitman Homan is busy hunting down the Illegal Immigrants & that means no Illegal Aliens to pad the statistic Left's voter registration.

Then there is the statistic Lefties "PAPER TRAIL" which has already caught up to the statistic lefties as pres. Trump so well exposed in his speech, with a LOT MORE COMING!!! With DOGE director Elon Musk & his Merry Marauders opening endless investigations up faster than opening up cans of soup on an electric can opener, it looks bleak at best for the Statistic Left by anyone's opinion. The downfall for the statistic left is when Musk's Marauders pay a visit to the DNC. I would not be surprised if we witness on that day a few suicides in the DNC
Rep. Al Green, aka “The Can-Man was his usual stupid self and was ejected from the chamber and subsequently censured on Thursday, with 10 Democrats voting to reprimand their colleague. Roughly a dozen progressives held signs, walked out of the chamber and refused to clap for anything. Democrats even refused to acknowledge a boy of 14-years-old who is a Cancer Survivor who Trump honored during the speech., while the Dumb-Dems sat on their hands! Just how stupid is that!
The Neo-Marxist, Democrats-Progressives are so discombobulated politically they are simply incapable of any cogent retorts except Screaming, Childish, Petulant Remarks, False Conspiracies and Their Favorite Go Too's 'Russia-russia' and Fear Mongering Lies.
So the bottom line is that Bill O’O'Reilly said, and I very much, and thoroughly agree with hin that he thinks the Democratic Party is on the verge of a complete collapse,
And Trump is a Master Planner and he sees the Left's weakness, and he is pushing just hard enough in synchronicity that little by little, he is helping them topple themselves right off the edge.

A poll taken the next day reported that EIGHTY THREE PERCENT of all those polled thought the behavior by the Democrats was way beyond the pale. And I don’t even want to speak about Rachel Maddow who is MSNBC's star and is all set for a courtroom humiliation over hr shocking ON-AIR remarks. .

  19. You'd have to go back in the archives but when we had a Democrat president I'm sure the Repubs didn't clap a lot during such an address but I'm sure they clapped at something. They also didn't look catatonically depressed. Some things used to cut across party lines. Apparently not anymore.

  20. Went back to the archives - "State of the Union addresses have included boos and outbursts in the past. Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) shouting “You lie!” at former President Obama in 2009. Last year, Greene and Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) stood to shout at Biden during his address.' We hold the Cems to higher standards I guess.
Trump/Musk - The Odd Couple - gonna be Novel or Movie?

  21. Guess my point is the opposition party would clap at least some of the time outbursts notwithstanding. So now for extra credit go back, Wayback Machine maybe and find an address by a Dem president and the Repubs didn't clap at least once about something. Usually such presidential addresses will have at least one or two universal themes everyone can agree on. After you do your chores I mean.
