I have to gripe. Couple years back the lady who owns the house in the back had a new fence installed for her yard. Very nice. My Dad passed away a few years ago so I'm in charge now. Caretaker of the land my land. We have a spacious backyard. Tall fence way in the back for privacy. Thin slats of wood intertwined with metal coils. My Dad would do some things in a totally makeshift sort of way. Used to have morning glories creep up it back in the day but now the English Ivy got to it. Dilapidated. Can't afford a new fence right now. DOGE never sent me my check. Ordered some dog barrier fences online to fix some gaps at both ends. Cleaning up there the other day. Noticed many empty Sakrete plastic bags saying cement and sand and stuff beyond the barrier fence but still my property. Also some old latticework. Plastic bottles of Poland Spring with a lot of water still inside. Wasn't there before. A mess. Look I don't even mind if you piss on my tree but what's with people not being able to finish off a simple 16 oz. bottle of water? You don't have to be a Columbo to figure the fence installers left all that garbage there.
Taking away from my blogging time ya know? What would Homan do?
Never could get English Ivy to grow on the fence out back, but it started popping up in the garden and lawn. We put up a honeysuckle bush and that intertwined with the fence quite strongly. And smells good. I found a yard guy just starting business, real careful and pretty reasonable. Neighbor with pasture out back too disabled to take care of his acreage, so sometimes I send help over there gratis.

ReplyDeletePulled a lot more rubbish from behind the fence this morning. Curious to know the name of that fence company the lady used. Have to get some of them heavy duty contractor bags later to clean the stuff up. Am I a contractor?

I'm not up on stuff. It's a trend some of my neighbors have string lights. I'm like why do they have Christmas lights up all year?

Just took a peak so two things about the GeeeZ blog. Re the race for NYC Mayor she seems OK with Cuomo and feels Sliwa should drop out to help defeat Mamdani. Why doesn't Cuomo drop out? #2 anybody who has issues with Trump hates America is a running theme over there or am I reading too much into this?
