It always escapes me. Driving my Trumper friend home the other day and he always brings up politics. He said Trump loves America then he starts talking about Obama. When was the last time Obama was president? Welcome to the retro grievance department. Of those remaining and dwindling few who are digging in their heels still defending Trump my question is
WHY???
Why indeed. My guess is they over invested from the start, got totally involved and just cannot admit a mistake. So they prefer fake news to news, BS to actual facts and grand WH ballrooms to the price of gas.We presume they have nightmares when they sleep? Your friend would be a good subject for a psychiatrist - lay down on the couch -
ReplyDeleteevery time you lie you get a shot of CB. other that that - dunno.
Not being partisan but by any objective standard Trump isn't a great president. You'd think they'd feel let down at the very least. A psychological conundrum. Maybe Dave can diagnose the problem.
ReplyDeleteSort of like a made up bedtime story - you go to sleep feeling much safer. No horde of nuclear Iranian missiles raining down on you or little illegal kids stealing your tax dollars. That ugly trait of vengeance is inhumane in people, let alone in a president, but well worth it for the MAGApublicans?
ReplyDeleteZ-man... here are two quotes that show the problem.
ReplyDelete"THIS CNN ARTICLE GIVES DETAILS, BUT THEY’RE ALL SLANTED TO MAKE HIM LOOK AS BAD AS POSSIBLE. SADLY, MOST OF THE DETAILS SEEM TO BE TRUE."
"In MY humble opinion, getting an Islamic regime in Iran to actually give in and say “You are right, America!… we will give up our nuclear ambitions” is INSANE. Pride is EVERYTHING in the M.E…..it won’t happen."
Both of these show a rabid MAGA supporter struggling with a president and his policies. Yet, what happens?
Even more MAGA people show up and tell her to ignore the noise. None of what she is seeing is true, even though she herself can see the truth!
Until a Dem wins the White House, and one day it will happen again, then, and only then, will we see the MAGA people leave behind their views that a president must be supported no matter what.
Sorry guys... I wish I had some good news on this front.
Hey Guys... maybe we can gin up a case that we've been targeted by the "weaponization of the DOJ" so we can get a chunk of the $1.776 billion settlement for however many years we have left on this orb.
ReplyDeleteIt'd sure take the stress out of life.
Or at least freedom from IRS audits.
We suspect your T-friend is not an expert cuz -
ReplyDeleteExperts rate Obama as 7th greatest, Biden as 15th and
Trump at the bottom of the dump. He doesn't love the US,
he just wants to own it.
93 degrees in Yonkers?
ReplyDeleteUS has indicted Raul Castro of Cuba. He is 94 years old - is that a crime?
The Trump stupidity is like eczema. It's chronic and doesn't seem to go away.
ReplyDeleteDave if you do your own taxes ever get a letter from the IRS saying you owe even more? Not understanding the math you pay up. I don't have that nice DOJ protection. What makes him so special?
ReplyDeleteBB... that Indictment is interesting. I did a post on that case years ago. Seems the guy who headed up the group involved with the planes Cuba shot down has a long history of anti Cuba work and had been accused of spying for the CIA.
ReplyDeleteBasalto, the leader in question, was an admitted CIA operative and said so himself to Congress.
So, let's do a little exercise...
If a sworn enemy [think China or North Korea here] flew a plane, or a weather balloon, over our country, and the pilot or leader of the operation was a member of that enemy's spy service, would we have shot it down?
Of course we would. And we'd be unapologetic about it.
I'm no fan of Castro, but this indictment is a political pretense, pure and simple.
Trump doesn't think about nuances. Everything is a photo-op. There he is again standing and talking with his little flag lapel pin and a breeze going through his orange comb-over.
