Our Syria non-policy

What if we had gone after Syrian president/dictator Bashar al-Assad instead of Libyan leader Moammar Khadafy? well about 2,000 Syrian protesters might still be alive today. What if we didn't have wars going on in Iraq and Afghanistan at the moment maybe we could have gone after BOTH. Maybe if we didn't get involved in any of this mishegas we could devote full-time to the escalating crisis in Somalia, a country without a functioning government where 30,000 children have died from cholera there in just the last 3 months alone in this the land of Famine and Drought. The Arab Spring has turned into the long hot summer. We preferred to do business with Assad instead, Hillary even referred to him as a "reformer" not that long ago but here's a great way to cut federal spending and put a dent in the debt and deficit at the same time -- STOP ALL WARS! Just sayin'. BTW has "just sayin'" become an annoying catch phrase yet? just sayin':)

  1. There's only one candidate singing those praises.

  3. Amazing you know that given the media's concerted effort to ignore Ron Paul.

  5. Bachmann's 28% to Paul's 27%. Not only the media's concerted effort to ignore Ron Paul but also the conservative establishment. Where I differ from you is in how pure a candidate has to be for me to go for him or her. If a candidate is right (imo) 8 times out of 10 but still wants to keep the Fed would I still vote for him or her? probably. It's not that I agree with them I'm being realistic. Not every candidate is up to Ron Paul's standards or purity or consistency or what have you.

  6. To each his own. But, you're right they are not. But when they are why the hell would you opt for some watered down version?

Bachmann was all for stimulus spending before she was against it.

A simple review of her 2008/2009 votes will attest to this.

  7. Soap you're an idealist, nothing wrong with that but if someone is even 80% good chances are I'll vote for him or her. BTW Bachmann yesterday saying let's celebrate Elvis's birthday when it was really the anniversary of his death, now it's true we all make mistakes but cumulatively she's made more than most (e.g. the whole Paul Revere thing) so how many brain farts can a person have? That's kind of a minor concern to be honest. I mean you ever have a brain fart at work or at home and say or do something stupid that makes no sense, well after it happens you're more careful and say to yourself I can't keep doing this know what I'm saying?

  8. I heard about the flub. Hardly news worthy but alas this is the decay of American intellect.
