Samuel Jackson should just STFU!

Rumor has it that if Obama loses he'll become the head of the European Union and when you stop to think about it it makes sense although Bill Clinton at one point was supposed to become the head of the UN.  Slash 'n' burn capitalism, Romneyism vs. Obamanomics.  All things considered I kinda prefer the free markets although not in a total Randian sense.  Hey did you hear about the October Surprise?  According to Alex Jones there's military intel out there that something is gonna happen next month to help Obama win the election.  I was talking to my friend about this yesterday and said I doubt this as things are not going well for him in the Middle East right now and I doubt Jones ever wakes up in the morning and has a normal day of thinking.  Don't believe the media and all the polls out there, alot of folks are saying don't be swayed and just Vote for Romney.  I'm wondering if soapie is a prepper for when the World Economy totally collapses like in the not too distant future.  I don't know if you've ever talked to a prepper or those who at least are considering prepping but they're pretty annoying.  You know folks who stock up on the canned goods and jugs of Poland Spring and go to Eastern Mountain Sports for those wonderful packages of freeze-dried beef stroganoff and lasagna.  Gotta build a cabin in the woods right now and take the family there even if they don't wanna go and think I'm nutz and while we're at it let's get some of those water purification tablets too.  Anyone watch The Hunger Games yet? didn't think so but if I could articulate a principle here it is that the more a government grows the less benevolent it becomes, think about that Mr. Miller, BB.  I think the nub of Liberalism can be defined as you can kill a fetus but can't have a Big Gulp, pro-choice in one narrow sexual zone or band and fascism spraying off in all the other directions.  There are 50 States in the Union so why does every election apparently hinge on what Ohioans want?  Look the rest of us won't vote we'll just let the State of Ohio decide things.  Obama as head of the EU, you heard it here first:)

  1. Thinking of Obama as head of the EU
brings to mind the World Bank as a dumping place for failed US defense officials:
John J. McCloy (wholesale pardons to Nazi war criminals)
    Robert Macnamara-who was always
just a few brigades from winning
in VN (and whose middle name was
    Strange)
Paul Wolfowitz-if you get hit by
Saudi and Yemeni terrorists in NY...heck, invade Iraq.
..which leads us to conclude that
being a model for Dr. Strangelove must in some way qualify you as a
    World banker.
..preppers: one of my favorite movies was 'Blast From the Past'
    where Christopher Walken, wife
Sissy Spacek, and niave son Brendan Frasure survive 20 years in their bunker after 'nuclear war'
(a plane crashed on their house)
..which leads us to think that some
folks require something to be very afraid of, worry about and prepare for..and may partially answer the question why folks like horror films.

  2. France now has a new top tax rate on the very wealthy at 75%, um...this is right up Obama's alley.

    ReplyDelete
  3. A possible crack in left-wing comedic commentary?

    ReplyDelete
  4. 75%? Z-Man, your Dad no doubt recalls 1940-1963: top US tax rate was 81-93%. Didn't start to come down until Kennedy.

  5. I told you all those Libertarians are going to migrate en masse to somewhere in the Pacific Northwest and set up some type of voluntaryist commune, which will collapse unto itself once the population reaches about 100 because Libertarians are all about 'I got mine so screw you.'

  6. "the more a government grows the less benevolent it becomes,"
..guess it hangs on the definition
of benevolent. For example which is more benevolent: medicare or
vouchers, tax breaks for big business or tax breaks for the working poor, collective bargaining or getting rid of the minimum wage? Sort of a moot point,
since the number of Federal workers is down considerably since
    the BigGov of Reagan....

  7. STFU, BB.

LMAO!! do you feel better now?

    ReplyDelete

  8. Yes, you're right, Samuel Jackson should just STFU! I heard his filthy little poem where he includes a little girl and then uses the "F" word. Shame on the Racist pig. All the more reason to vote out his man in the White House, if this is the kind of followers he has.
But let's see. the bigger picture, The United States suffered a deadly terrorist attack on the anniversary of 9/11, in which a US Ambassador and 3 others were murdered. We saw our flag torn down and burned and a black Islamist flags replaced ours over four American embassies, following security breaches. Obama himself as well as other members of his administration lied about the cause and nature of the attack in Benghazi, misled the public about threats leading up to the massacre, and attempted to gloss over the outrageously lax security at the diplomatic outpost prior to the raid.
We now know that the White House was told and warned about this attack as early as September 4th,
And what we saw for 10 days following was the usual flip-flops,and outright lies coming from the administration that went on in the Benghazi cover-up.. Not only by Hillary Clinton, but by Susan Rice our UN representative and Obama himself.
This whole thing has been a set-up! Those of you who read here regularly should know that this sort of thing is typical of the inept man sitting in the oval office. claiming to be our president.

The video was NOT at all the cause of this uprising attack. and likely was not even know by the mobs that attacked the embassies.
Wake the hell up you fools! He is not your typical Democrat. he is a Marxist and this is what Marxist's do when confronted with the facts of their lies. .And therefor we must vote him out on November 6..

  9. In compassion Nixon was a hero, compared to what you see in Washington today. Obama is a vile Marxist hell bent on destroying this great nation. That is the difference.

  10. BB I stand by my comment that the more a gov't grows the less benevolent it becomes. I actually wasn't talking about entitlements but more like Ruby Ridge and Waco, the loss of some of our liberties and privacy post-9/11, NYC becoming wired up to become a high-tech version of Big Brother, rationing under ObamaCare, folks in Florida who can't pay cash at tolls without having to file a report for the gov't since they now see cash transactions as suspicious and hell why don't we throw in all those red-light cameras popping up in Yonkers even though soap would point out that's more a local gov't issue and I can move. Sure BB you'll have your entitlements, your welfare and food stamps, your SS and Veterans benefits but you'll also have these under things under Big Gov't. Think about it.

  11. IF Obama does take out Iran's nuclear power program next month, just sayin' - he'll probably, probably win the election. This happened last time, Obama going about some minor casual business of his only to give the go-ahead for the SEALS to take out bin Laden. IF you add taking out OBL and destroying Iran's nuclear reactors Romney will come across as more McCainish, merely the de facto Republican candidate and neck 'n' neck right now will become a thing of the past.

  12. Z, I seriously think we should do as a group the food stamp challenge, and blog about it.

I think it might open some eyes.

    Are you up for it?

    How bout you, BB?

    ReplyDelete
  13. I get a kick out of you Saty. Something of a hypocrite you are in your protestations that none herein understand socialism and you go and mouth off some ignorant comment about libertarians and them getting theirs and saying screw you. Apparently you still have no concept of how free markets work.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Nixon was the final nail in establishing a worthless fiat currency you silly Keynesian.

    ReplyDelete
  15. What do you mean the food stamp challenge? BB here's another example of gov't growing and becoming less benevolent. Here in Mayor Bloomberg's NYC fines are being levied left and right against small businesses. For example a barber was fined because his old cash register doesn't give out receipts but who wants a receipt for a haircut? Another, in some eatery the napkins were deemed too short as the fork was sticking out. The list goes on and on and I think it fair to say the more NYC Gov't has grown the less benevolent it has become at least under Bloomberg and I didn't even mention bodegas may be next in line to be mandated having healthier food offerings. I'd think you and Mr. Miller would rather be for medium government at least.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I love you Chris but that's basically how it's always come off to me. That whole voluntaryism thing just leaves too many gaping holes. It's not anything I haven't said to you before so it's not a surprise.

Food stamp challenge: where you attempt to live on the amount of money you would get in food stamps. It generally works out to about $41 a week. The rules are that you have to start clean, you can't use anything you have in your house now except condiments. You go to the grocery store and you have $41 to spend. From that $41 you need to purchase everything you will eat/drink for the week. During the week you cannot accept any free food or meals from anyone.

A lot of politicians have been taking the challenge and those who are honest about it have said how much it's opened their eyes. Recently the mayor of Phoenix did this and kept a diary. He came out of it with a whole new concept of a significant part of his constituency.

I think we should all pick a week and do it and then blog about it. Are you up for it?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Libertarians say let the states make the rules. So, NY is very
tough (even silly). When I first
arrived in the wild west, some guy
chased another guy into the river and pumped 7 22 cal. into him. He
was charged with disturbing the peace. ..so some states are very
loose in their regs (even silly).
BTW, that barber with the cash register...those guys still have to
    pay protection money?

    ReplyDelete
  18. I think I could lose weight on $41 a week.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Restaraunt regs: we had a place in town, east indian curry, etc that kept failing inspections...
    large cockroach population. Guy
sued the state for 'harming' his business. What's a bodega? sounds like an arctic narwhale or something....

    ReplyDelete
  20. A bodega is NY's version of a tienda Mexicana, which is NC's version of a Dallas mercado.

    Mexican grocery store.

So what do you think, BB... are you up for the food stamp challenge?

Cmon Z, what about you? It would make some SERIOUSLY interesting blogging and has a political slant as well.

Food and politics! Is there a better combination?!?!?!

  21. OK... bubbling spring:

Z, you MUST. MUST!! try Cackalacky Sauce. I had some at Costco over the weekend and instantly had to buy the giant family 1 liter bottle. I am completely addicted, I put it in everything including plain yogurt to make a dip (and incidentally a KICKIN special sauce for a burger)...tonight for supper I'm putting it in chili. OMG it's so freakin good.

I know the name is redneck. I know. They make it in Chapel Hill.

    Go look: cackalacky.com

they make it with SWEET POTATOES!

  22. Saty Saty Saty I've done your food stamp challenge many a time, it's known as DIETING. How'd you think I lost all this weight??? $41 for food for the week, I've done it many times over but did spend dough on other stuff like Barnes & Noble and DVDs so I think that's allowed 'cause you don't eat them. Ah go back in my archives and look and IF your point is that the food stamp challenge is tough your darn right it is! There's no disputing that and also there's alot of regs at supermarkets like they can buy a premade sandwich apparently but not one the deli clerk makes, stuff like that. I don't think getting or not getting rid of food stamps is the point here, it's that a record number of Americans being on food stamps is not a good thing.

    ReplyDelete
  23. But we should be a svelter society no? BB the point here is that the Behemoth doesn't work and it's hostile towards the governed.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Disclaimer: of course I occasionally, occasionally went over other people's houses to eat and then there's the constant people picking at work since it's a food establishment. Food stampers, well you can grow a few things in your backyard if you have one, seeds are cheap. Another way around it, places like Stew Leonard's have plenty of free food sample stations and my friend stocked up one day, didn't have room for lunch. Most places have free cookies in their bakerys so most folks can eat for free most of the time or at least nosh a little. Ever notice how a couple of the neighborhood's homeless always hang around the coffee machine at the supermarket?

  30. Samuel Jackson is just like the rest of that long line of Liberal Hollywood assholes who are total BS. artists and strictly Obama Kool-aid drinkers ..
But nevertheless the progressive crowd dingbats eat it up.
Lets face it he's just like that bunch on “The View” .. full of lies, and who worship Obama and Moochie and who just eats up that luxurious life of being the First Lady of the World, living in the White House and Vacationing the globe on our dime. In fact it looked like the First Wookie was fighting to keep her job more than she wants her hubby to be re-elected. .
The team of liars Bill and Hill have nothing on the team Barrack and Moochie believe me.
But when you take away all the glitz and glamor of Moochie in her atrocious Party Dress, we find just another fraud posing as the nations Food Commissioner

  31. I think it was a good textbook demonstration for illustrative purposes but am still gonna go with the hyperlink.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I'll go with the hyperlink as well.
..and note that among the many academic papers
studying the various aspects of blogging, we find,
"Male bloggers of all ages write more about politics,
technology and money than do their female cohorts.
Female bloggers discuss their personal lives – and use
more personal writing style – much more than males do.
Furthermore, for bloggers of each gender, a clear pattern of
differences in content and style over age is apparent.
Regardless of gender, writing style grows increasingly
“male” with age: pronouns and assent/negation become
scarcer, while prepositions and determiners become more
frequent. Blog words are a clear hallmark of youth, while
the USE OF HYPERLINKS INCREASES WITH AGE. Content also evolves
with age in ways that could have been anticipated."
..of course we knew that. :)

  33. I just got my 5-year old nephew for his birthday a money jar with an LCD readout of how much he has in the jar when he puts in another coin. Got it at a Rite-Aid and figured teach him the value of money and saving at a young age and get him away from the video games for a while but what do you expect from a conservative anyway?

  34. I opened my first checking account at 15 and got an AmEx at 17. I did real well with money until I got married. Never could figure out that balancing the checkbook, though.

  35. I remember as a kid my Mom opened up a savings account for me and interest in those days was very good. Now it's peanuts no matter how large a sum you keep, never heard this explained.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Interest rates have been and remain
historically low, so not much to be
made on a savings account. Not to
denigrate the free market, but you
would do better with a non-profit
    credit union ..every
member is a shareholder, any profits are redistributed...heck
    its almost socialism...:)

    ReplyDelete
  37. BB as a schoolkid I did get much more interest on my savings account now when I get my statement in the mail every month the interest reads like .43 cents or something and while I'm no Rockefeller I do have a respectable account.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Financial advisors typically note that one should use savings accounts for liquid assets. If you have a large savings account, you
might consider putting a portion in
    bonds, securities or mutual funds
(especially the tax-free Roth 401 types). Or buy a new boat.
