Trump has a complex personality type. Not sure of the exact clinical diagnosis but besides narcissism a key element is the attitude I Can't Be Wrong. This is not uncommon. You see it in the business world a lot. Companies and corporations might do things that seem stupid to the average employee but they never reevaluate as they go along but just forge ahead anyway even if they eventually drive the company into the ground. I've seen it firsthand. Will never take corporate responsibility. They can't be wrong. It's a funny way to go through Life though with that attitude. At the root of many problems. Maybe this goes a way explaining Trump's popularity in a way he mirrors us. It's frightening in a leader though. He's not the cerebral type but the GeeeZers will always sing his praises.
I see Dr. Phil has made a hard turn to the Right going on ICE campouts with Homan. Do they roast marshmallows together? BTW who the hell is this Laura Loomer chick some unofficial advisor to the president?
I guess we are just collateral damage. Stockmarket plunging, commenters tearing their hair out. Few million fed workers entering the unemployment lines. On the micro economy scale, I hired a high school girl to do the lawn this Summer. A regular little capitalist, but nice. Did a bit of a dive into this yesterday. I think Trump wants to go back to America pre-1913. That's when they established the federal income tax. Prior to 1913 tariffs funded the government's needs. Dennis Kucinich says end the Federal Reserve would be a good starting point. Ok so all that's fair game but you can't end the IRS overnight. Probably not in my lifetime either pushing past 60. I think ultimately Trump wants to abolish the IRS and go with tariffs. In fact he's said as much. So what Trump is going to end up with is his high tariffs which translates into higher costs for consumers AND the continuance of the IRS. He doesn't think clear.
ReplyDeleteOf course another reason is he wants to bring back our manufacturing base. According to him there might be some short-term pain (Vance: "Suck it up") but I'll be able to take a cruise someday because of his tariffs. Reminds me of Ralph Kramden's get rich quick schemes.

ReplyDeletePlane offloaded dead US soldiers from the Estonia accident last week. Trump was too busy to attend the ceremony - playing golf at his mansion near the Gulf Of America. Laura Loomer is a far right conspiracy theorist - she fingered the state dept experts for Trump to fire. Very active in Florida politics, losing badly in every election she ran in. Don't let her in the house!
