Saddam did what again??

From the New York Post editorial for today, the anniversary of Pearl Harbor:

A Terrible Resolve - "...The loss of life on Dec. 7, 1941 was staggering...That single-day toll would not be surpassed until six decades later - when Osama bin Laden's killers brought down the Twin Towers in the second sneak attack on American soil. But the American people in 1941 did not respond to the devastation at Pearl Harbor with hand-wringing, calls for negotiating with the enemy or incessant second-guessing of the president..." (emphasis mine) -- The Post still holds Saddam responsible for what happened on 9/11 in their soon to be collector's edition of "Surrender Monkeys" about the Iraq Study Group. Bermuda Triangle. People who masturbate your mind

  1. On a slightly different note it's fun to see conservatives now backtracking from all the Clinton-bashing they engaged in for 8 long years when he was president, now people like Rich Lowry and John Podhoretz are like we didn't mean it. I for one think a good part of the bashing was justified and conservatives should hold their ground on this one, if Ken Starr didn't get so sidetracked by the sex (which was the least of the scandals anyway) the historical record might be different but it's a new loving conservative movement these days "so can't we all just get along" (ok now, who said that?)

  2. The country was with GWB when he stood in New York and proclaimed that soon "the people who knocked down these towers would hear us". They agreed when he said "you are either with us or you are with the terrorists". But the Vietnam mindset has made people edgy and uncomfortable with actually doing what it takes to fight this long war.

  4. Looks like Hillary in the White House with Barack Obama as vp, or maybe that's the other way around.

Beth, even Bill O'Reilly said on Oprah that had he known what we know now, that there were no WMDs in Iraq, he would not have agreed to go to war. Baker and Hamilton did not say pull out right away but a little over a year from now. So when are the Iraqi Security Forces going to be ready for cryin' out loud? At any rate Bush won't be president in '08 so the next president in all likelihood will probably pull a Nixon and get us the hell out of there.
