When did loyalty become such a dirty word?

Trump filling up his Cabinet posts quick.  The msm is spinning everything he does in a negative light saying he's packing his Cabinet with fierce loyalists.  When I was growing up the word "loyalty" had more positive connotations.  Loyalty used to be considered a virtue.  A dog is loyal to its owner.  A wife or husband is loyal to their spouse.  A worker is loyal to their company and doesn't sell trade secrets.  I could use a few fierce loyalists in my own life.

BTW where is the Bobby slot?

  1. what the heck is a bobby slot? Loyalty - always went for merit, had an important job, critical. Didn't need yes men. To each their own

  3. Obviously there are exceptions but in every line of work you're supposed to follow orders. Generally speaking. If you wanna call that being yes men go ahead. So in every job I ever had I did what the boss told me to do. If he made the wrong decision and the company lost money that was on him.

Getting back to Trump if offered a position in his Cabinet if you think he doesn't have merit or you feel you can't be loyal and follow orders DON'T TAKE THE JOB.

  4. In your own work history did you have trouble following orders?

    1. Sure.
Who doesn't? Case in point - was told to fire a good experienced worker because he refused to work on Saturdays, being a 7th Day Adventist. So I had him work on Sundays, which he had no problem with. (I also went in on those Sundays, my codfish spiriturality requiring no one worked in initiating explosives by themselves. And yes, I turned down
high paying upper mgt jobs because I liked lab and hands on stuff. You ever turn down a job?

    2. I haven't been made too many offers.

I come from the workplace is not a democracy model. Manager tells supermarket worker to put the Hostess on display on the end cap of Aisle 9. Worker normally doesn't go I disagree and don't think that's a good idea.

Nurse Nancy doesn't respect the authority of Head Chef at work. Making problems. Maybe you prefer the workplace to be more democratic?
