Rather intense. Dems didn't warm up to him but no Repubs really came out against. Said he's not anti-vaccine but pro-safety. Not against the measles or polio vaccines or kids getting their shots. Says he'll keep more in line with Trump's views on abortion mainly being an issue for state control. Appeared at points to confuse Medicare and Medicaid. No discussion of roadkill recipes. Another day of questioning.
Thoughts?
I'm thinking he is kind of on the weird side
ReplyDeleteWorked with a lot of weird people down through the years. Work with a few now. None are candidates for such a high position though. Old joke - if you're poor you're weird if you're rich you're eccentric.
ReplyDeleteHenny Youngman?
DeleteMIlton Berle sad the only thing worse than Henny's jokes is his violing playing.
Henny Youngman: "I know you have to be somebody but why do you have to be you?"
Delete'Why do Jewish men die before their wives? Because they want to."
The subject of tanning salons didn't come up either.
ReplyDeleteTook out a union loan recently. Fairly large amount. Was telling my sister about it. She says just a note of caution you have to pay the loan back. Thanks for the heads up.
ReplyDeleteYou can blame it on Biden.
ReplyDeleteNow I can't get one of those flexible forgiveable loans Kamala Harris offered.
ReplyDeleteUs old guys are supposed to be saving, not borrowing. You may have to chef into your 90s.
ReplyDeleteRather than be questioned by congress all day, I would just turn the job down.
ReplyDeleteAnd having Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders yell at you. Job interviews aren't usually like that.
DeleteBB I thought about the loan offer for a good month and decided the pros outweighed the cons. In the final analysis I needed the money it helped. Yeah I too thought my loan days were over.
ReplyDeleteCan't disagree with the pro vs con methodology.
