A random thought on my walk today

I don't know why the White Rhino in Mozambique has to become extinct just so a Chinese businessman can have an erection.

  1. I absolutely loath poaching, always have. Back in the day Errol Flynn and Lord Mountbatten and their friends overhunted the Bengal Tiger, no idea of conservation even back in the day.

Whatever I do sexually in my life, the Good the Bad and the Ugly at the end of the day at least I can hold my head high and say no animals were involved.

  2. Yeah. Kinda surprised they haven't come up with a new RedNeck
show 'Poaching with Bobby Jim and the clan'.

  3. China is quickly becoming at the root of all evil. Not to begrudge the Chinaman his 10' boner but hey there's Viagra, Cialis, gin 'n' juice...

  4. Well the Chinese don't want to become extinct either!

  5. Rhino horns are composed largely of the protein keratin, also the chief component in hair, fingernails, and animal hooves.
We may posit that the oriental culture derives some psychological
    sexual benefit, but a scientific
study of the other keratin sources, eg. fingernails and animal hooves seems in order. Do
guys that bite their nails turn into regular studmuffins? Cheap
hotdogs seem to have a lot of that crap in them as well. Check with the dude that downed 69 at the recent hotdog contest.

  6. Hot dog contests are the stupidest thing going. Over in Africa they poach everything these days and after they extirpate one species, say the Mountain Gorilla they move on to the others. I'm wondering though if such people see a kind of Biblical mandate for such, a kind of warped interpretation of man having dominion over the animals. I've always dropped hints in my own blog while I'm a conservative at heart I'm also a closet environmentalist.

  7. For the same reason that American men lobby to get contraceptive coverage removed, yet keep Cialis, Viagra et al in the formulary.

It's a 'men wanna get laid' thing.

  8. Saty raises an important and IMO, significant part of the whole abortion paradigm. Unwed teen moms
seem to bear the entire responsibility: either raise a child her impregnator does not want, or brave the fundies in front of the abortion clinic. I have no problem whatsoever with
making the sperm donor half the problem (remember I'm a big death penalty guy) bear equal responsibility. Along those lines,
    for every mandated transvaginal
unltrasound, there should be a mandated non-anesthetic colonoscopy, brain-scan and passing through screaming women at the emasculation clinic for the
maker of the 'baby' Fair enough?

  9. I wanna see you and a fundie get lost in the wilds of Alaska and have to put your brains together in order to survive.

  10. Guess I'd have to use his cellphone to call Mrs. Palin?

  11. Dunno, does the fact that someone believes in a literal 7 days of creation in the Bible make him or her a bad person?

  12. Certainly, if they want to replace
the teaching of biology, chemistry, geology, physics, astronomy, genetics, paleontology,
    evolution, virology, biochemistry,
    molecular biology, mathematics,
    philosophy and ichthyology with
Genesis 101. I have no problem if
they stay in their sphere and await the rapture or whatever.

  13. Now I've no problem with teaching about evolution in the public schools but I never got the memo that it was anything other than a theory.

  14. Some folks think its a conspiracy theory; that's the problem.

    1. Since we're on the subject I'd like to point out that Intelligent Design and Creationism are two very different things but libs always glom things together. When it comes to teaching the kids I say put it all on the table from apes to Adam and anything in between. Instead of secular or religious indoctrination when they get a little older they then have the tools to decide for themselves. I thought Education was not about pushing a POV but getting people to think.
