iCloud Storage for Life's most intimate moments

Re that celebrity nude photo hacking scandal personally speaking I don't use my smartphone for those purposes. I'd be slightly trepidatious and I don't care if it's on your device, in the Cloud, on the moon whatever. Maybe it's trendy right now among the Hollywood set, take a picture of your twat and put it in the Cloud but even if you delete it from your device it's still right up there floating around in the atmosphere somewhere along with Anthony Weiner's pecker. BTW what's Ariana Grande doing on the list? Now the time and effort by these pervo-nerds to actually pull this off by one hacker's admission it took literally months of time and hard effort. Two things do they work and think of the energy that could have been committed to a cancer cure instead or even a successful weight loss program! Apple and iOS are supposed to be impervious to these types of things not like the ever dangerous Android operating system but I've always said that's only a matter of time. The new iPhone 6 is supposed to have a bigger screen something like 5+" and I'm thinking a phone should be rather fairly small to begin with. Ya got a phone now with the screen the same size as a small tv set - "Excuse me I have to make a phone call" - and there's an old guy at church I know has a big one by the size of his black case prominently strapped to his belt for all the parishioners to see. Probably an LG, showoff. So what kind of gallery do you have? BB's smart, he doesn't have a phone.

  1. I don't intentionally put stuff in a cloud, but imagine e-mails end up there. The 'CLOUD' is big rooms full of e-storage racks , nondescript modern buildings out in the boonies. I used to save important stuff on discs, but discs keep changing and being an old guy, there is no need to save huge volumes on explosives output, or
the last 40 years of the family newsletter. Garbage in/garbage out; clouds may be
the modern electronic landfill, ya know?

  2. If I were to take the old schoolmarm approach tight hairbun on top of my head I'd say you wouldn't have to worry about those sexual images if you didn't put them there in the first place.

  4. Trepidatious, that's a magnificent word.

I don't put naughty pictures on my phone or on anything that anyone can get to. Call me old fashioned but really I don't see the need to put stuff like that on any media that can be accessed remotely. I'm of the mentality that things in writing and in pictures constitute what can be considered EVIDENCE and therefore if it's something that I might be embarrassed or incriminated by it's better if it not even exist in the first place. Just my take on it, call me paranoid but anyone who's ever had a manic episode knows that there's some secrets you just have to take to the grave with you.

Did you know Richard Feynman's Caltech lectures are now available online to read for free? I was so excited, and I got through the first three before I started to drown. Only three more years to go..

I think I mentioned I'm learning to play the recorder and as I'm essentially intellectual in nature this means I'm now reading textbooks on Baroque music. Not what everyone would consider titillating but for me a far more interesting survey than naked photos of famous people I never heard of.

So ISIS. I'm still more concerned about open carry fanatics, Dominionists and the looming spectre of a further Republican takeover in the fall.

Why is it that it seems like it's always the female teachers sexually abusing the students? Seriously, what's the psychopathology behind that?

    That's all I got.

    2. Baroque titillating? I prefer baroque to current music: those old characters like Telemann, Purcell and Pachelbel were truly creative, considering the available instruments (including the enigmatic castrati)
and the range of Handel is just awesome. Saty, when you can do Handel's Arrival of the Queen of Sheba with a group of recorders you will have 'arrived'.

    1. Like the NYC cops they don't like the filming. Should the GOP tackle their black problem before they tackle their women problem?

  6. See.... that's because they know.... if it exists on film it's evidence. Really I don't understand the mentality of people like this. Everyone has a cell phone, everyone has the capability (and will take advantage of the opportunity) to record your illegal activities in HQ video. How do they imagine they'll not be caught? Although I guess even if video exists it isn't always enough to provide for justice being done. You can have crystal clear evidence of a cop beating an unarmed, helpless, handcuffed person and the cop still walk away with a pension. So there is no real justice. If you have privilege (read: race, money, power) you can get away with damn near anything and if you don't (read: minority status, poverty) you're screwed even if you're innocent.

  7. See that's the thing about conservatives and police brutality I don't get. Let's say you have that cell phone footage of some highly questionable interaction between the police and the public most conservatives then say we have to let all the facts come out but the cell phone video footage, the images recorded are themselves facts in realtime. It's like those gruesome beheading videos, sure you can say let's get all the facts out and take our time but the videos once authenticated are themselves facts and speak for themselves. With this conservative track record on race they'll never seriously get even a sliver of the black vote at least not in my lifetime.

  8. And then theres the hordes of white people eager to support whatever white cop caught on film brutalizing black people....

  9. That's the core readership of the NY Post.

  10. I see that the Dallas Cowboys are going to be boycotted because they picked up Michael Sam. What was that I said the other day about conservatives being far too interested in what other people do in bed? It's downright creepy. And there's always a vocal faction of Christians who want to not only forbid gay folk from marrying and adopting kids, they want to bring back sodomy laws. One minister thinks gay sex should be punishable by ten years hard labor (because that will totally make you not be gay). Can't they stay in their own bedrooms?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Oh, and the megachurch minister telling his people its perfectly ok to kill gay people, in fact that they should be killing gay people. Because i guess sequins feather boas and glitter are a threat.

  12. I never said you can't find some conservatives who are overly interested in what people do in their bedrooms just that they don't represent mainstream conservative thought. Take Christopher Ferrara of the Fatima Network which is an ultra-traditionalist Catholic group. Mr. Ferrara is perfectly fine with laws banning contraception and even divorce and even disagrees with the Founding Fathers because they were too much for individual freedom and that it would have been far better if we had a Church-governed society if I understand him correctly and I think I do. Does Mr. Ferrara somehow represent the mainstream conservative movement? hardly and there's probably many conservatives who never even heard of the guy. So you're not totally wrong I just think it's less relevant in the bigger picture.

    1. Had some friends got invited to a wedding of their nephew back east. When
the bride found out these friends had a gay son, they were 'cordially disinvited.' No shoes, no shirt, no gays?

    2. That wouldn't seem to fall within my definition of tolerance. Since gays are more brave anally are they more supportive of colonoscopies? Just wondering:)
