Prince was a religious sex symbol and according to one Times writer his sexual orientation was he loves You. Prince dead at 57. Why do the world's dictators live such long lives? Mpls is still mourning. We went to the block party on Thursday night out front of 1st Avenue and 7th street. We took the kids there on Saturday when we went for a walk downtown and there were still barricades up and steady crowd bringing flowers and such. I posted some pics and video on my Facebook page.
ReplyDeleteHaving had the distinct opportunity to work on his second divorce, I learned a lot about him as an artist and a person. It is sad to see him go.
As far as his death is concerned, he apparently had been dealing with chronic hip pain for quite some time and it is speculated that he had prescription pain medication for that (Percocet). It is also speculated that he had been on Dilaudid for sometime as well and might have died from an overdose or complications stemming from that or a combination of various prescribed opiates.

Mick Jagger came into the Palomino Euro Bistro in downtown Minneapolis for a late lunch back in the late 90's when I was still in the restaurant business (saute' cook). We had an open line so we could see patrons as they came in. He was with his kids and a nanny and I think the Stones had a show in town at the time. He was maybe 8' from me and even at that time I thought "Wow, that dude looks even older in person."
