Morose thoughts

Like why can't they scientifically prove once and for all time that there's life after death then we wouldn't have to worry (and for those of you who say you don't give it a second thought it's in the back of your mental attic somewhere next to the ice skates and the Flexible Flyer). Then again in some cases there may be some who would still have to worry, sorry I brought it up. BTW I'm not the least bit afraid of dead people, live people on the other hand.....

Spontaneous Human Combustion

"uh, this is z's mother. He's not coming in today, he spontaneously human combusted last night."

  1. I've covered this before but like what if your heart just suddenly stops beating, I mean how many beats can it take for cryin' out loud or if the earth suddenly spins out of its orbit and goes hurtling into the sun, roastie toasties. One time my Mom and I were conversating and apropos of nothing she said the products of incest often develop mental disorders and I'm thinking, not too seriously mind you but it's just another small item for the old mental attic, you don't mean to say that...? nah but what if I were adopted or what if I were Attila the Hun in a former life and that would explain my bad karma..........

  3. There's always those stories of people who died but then were revived back to life who tell of a bright light and a feeling of peace, and maybe even seeing images of Jesus, or they tell of floating above their body while they were dead. I suppose it's not scientific proof like you want, it's still based on faith, but it makes me feel good to think it will happen that way.

  4. Maybe science is holding back though, if bosses ever get wind that you have a spirit life after death they'll put you to work and of course you can't get ill to call out...Sarko Republicans get to work for all Eternity.

  6. Now Sarkozy is an interesting choice of the people of France to lead their country but what gets me is practically all the conservative commentary in support of him always focuses on his desire to abolish France's traditional 35-hour workweek and make those slackers work more. Maybe Sarko Republicans do want to work after death, might get bored with endless glimpses of the Beatific Vision when we could be doing something more useful with our time like pumping up the celestial economy.
